Water filters update

In July, we shared with you the good news that we had received a Movement for Good award of £1,000.

All the money went to getting water filters for the families. In late July, the families received them!

Solome reports:

“I just want to let you know that yesterday we were able to dispatch 98 water filters to the families and it was all joy! Many said it was timely and a great relief to them from the high cost of charcoal to boil drinking water.

One of doctors from the Karis Link Clinics spoke to the parents about the importance of drinking safe water and the consequences of taking contaminated water.

Each of the water filters has a warranty of one year and within that period they can be replaced or repaired. The suppliers will visit each of these families after one month to see how they are using the filters.”
